Fly Fishing Club at WCU Cherokee Classic
The Fly-Fishing club at WCU was established to share and spread the knowledge and enjoyment of fly fishing, we also are here to promote conservation in our surrounding cold-water rivers and streams. This tournament will benefit The Fly-Fishing Club at Western Carolina University in our volunteer efforts for stream clean ups, conservation, and community service events.
This event will be a two-person team event and will be held Saturday April 25th on portions of Cherokee's general fishing waters on the Raven Fork River. We will meet the morning of at 6:00am at Rivers Edge Outfitters to sign waivers.
Draw will take place on fly comps the night before the event at 7:00 pm.
Scoring and rules will be based off of FIPS but squirmy worms may be used.
Registrations opens March 14th at 7:00pm and registration is due by April 11th, at 5:00pm and 20 teams will be accepted!

All Cherokee fisheries and wildlife management rules must be followed at all times!
A tribal fishing permit must also be purchased for $10 for the day of the event!
