Comments

Zac Sexton Every hotel/motel is about a two minute drive from the creek. Z-Bar and the Mountain View are closest to the mountain/fishing beats. The Super 8 has decent fishing right behind it with public access, as does anyplace downtown. The Occidental has a restaurant and bar, sometimes with live music. The food is very good. It is right next to the creek. There is dispersed camping on the mountain starting at about Grouse Mountain. There are lots of tributaries with pull-outs right off the highway. Sourdough is a tiny brookie stream but you might be surprised at what you find as you fish toward Tie Hack. There is lots of camping there and off all the Clear Creek forks. Fishing licenses and gear can be found at the Sports Lure, downtown. Luke Todd is an owner and very knowledgeable. I’d ask for him. Wyoming accepts digital proof of a license but it still has to be on you, so maybe screen-shot it if you get a license digitally. We look forward to seeing everyone; let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.

I am also assembling “welcome” bags with some simple gifts and printed materials about the area, to help you enjoy your visit. Zac Sexton I reserved space at Pie Zanos, downtown. It has pretty amazing food (for a small town in Wyoming), and an easy-going atmosphere and mid-priced food. Also - Charlie, the care-taker for Camp Comfort, will have a restroom in his cabin available for use (real-live running water), and he will have a fire and BBQ going when we arrive! So - either bring dogs and burgers or let me know and I have plenty of wild game (most of it not road-kill) and locally-grown beef burger. We will meet on the far side of the bridge that crosses Clear Creek, on the left. I’ll put a marker down on eventually. Pie Zanos: Pie Zanos
